As the "go-to" partner for the environmental business sector, VEC will holds its 2009 EXPO at Vermont Technical College on Thursday, September 10th, 2009. Industry leaders, educators, legislators, scientists and business people will attend this event to learn more about and discuss the role of waste and brownfields in Vermont's future.

To promote and grow Vermont's green economy, the Vermont Environmental Consortium - as the go-to partner for the environmental business sector in Vermont - is joining forces with the 4th Greening Up Your Bottom Line Conference. Presented by:

    As an annual business event dedicated to providing businesses with cost effective, practical resources for becoming more environmentally sustainable and also providing networking opportunities, the theme of this year's conference is The Coming Carbon Market and The Business & Policy of Carbon. With potential new carbon policies coming down the road, businesses need to know the impacts to their bottom line and how best to prepare themselves.

    And what better venue to learn from the experts on how to do this than at this event, which will feature Michael Dworkin, Vermont Law School, as the keynote speaker and key panelists: Ernie Palmerleau, Chair of the Governors Climate Commission; Doug Smith, Green Mountain Power - Power Supply Contracts; Ginny Lyons (VT Senate Natural Resource Committee Chair); and, Jon Isham, Middlebury College, to name a few.
